Security operatives nab Kogi Guber candidate, Braimoh

Olayinka Braimoh, the Action Alliance’s governorship candidate in Kogi State’s ongoing gubernatorial elections, has been arrested.

Musa Yakubu, his media aide, confirmed the detention to journalists, saying his principal was apprehended by security operatives in Kabba.

Musa stated that the candidate and seven of his security personnel were apprehended after campaign materials were purportedly discovered in his car.

As at the time of publication, this newspaper has not been able to reach the state police headquarters for comment.

Braimoh’s media aide had already expressed concern over the AA candidate’s whereabouts.

“The last time I heard from him was in the morning when he called from Kabba town, but all attempts to get through to him since that time proved abortive,” Yakubu said.

“His mobile lines have been switched off, including his entourage.”
