Reno Omokri, a former assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has praised Umaru Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is currently in power, as an excellent and wise politician.
The well-known public analyst claimed in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday that Ganduje blended the qualities and political acumen of President Bola Tinubu and former Nigerian leader Olusegun Obasanjo.
“Ganduje has the Obasanjo and Tinubu gift. The blessing of looking very foolish but being extremely intelligent. He is also quick to hear, slow to anger, and even slower to speak and act.
” And as a result, he is strategic, whereas many others, especially those who underestimate him, are erratic. And he understands the greatest rule in politics. No permanent friend or enemy. Only permanent interests. And understanding that rule enables him to work with people he does not like to achieve a goal he likes,” Omokri said.
According to News24 Nigeria, Ganduje has’metamorphosed’ into a significant political force in the nation months after resigning from his two-term position as governor of Kano State.
Recall that the Ganduje-led APC recently won off-cycle elections in the states of Kogi and Imo, and that the Court of Appeal in Abuja recently ruled that the party’s nominees for governor in Kano and the Plateau states were legitimately elected.
