Appeal Court fixes date for hearing of Nasarawa governorship dispute

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has scheduled a hearing for Wednesday, November 15, in the appeal filed by Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress against the tribunal’s decision that fired him as governor.

In a split judgment, the Nasarsawa electoral tribunal annulled Sule’s election and proclaimed David Ombugadu, the People’s Democratic Party candidate in the March 18 election, as the rightful winner of the poll.

According to a hearing notification in the case “Between Sule Audu Alhaji VS Dr Emmanuel David Ombugadu & 3 ors Appeal NO CA/ MK/EP/GOV/NS/30/2023, the hearing would” take place on 15/11/2023 at Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, Holden in Abuja @ 9:00 am.

Governor Sule and his APC party are among those named in the complaint, as are the opposition PDP and its candidate, as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
