Guber poll: Hotel scarcity hits Kogi as INEC officials, security agents struggle to find shelter

With less than 24 hours till the governorship election in Kogi State, hotels in Lokoja, the state capital, are completely booked.

Those that arrived on Thursday had a difficult time finding lodging, it was learned.

The Confulence State experienced an unexpected inflow of guests. Business activity has also seen an unexpected increase.

In the state capital, significant traffic was observed around Galaga Junction, Kabba Junction, and surrounding Sabo Market.

Several hotels were said to have had their rooms full to capacity.

Many officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stationed in the state for election duties, as well as security agents and media, have yet to find lodging as of the time of reporting this story.

It was discovered that numerous hotels had booked room reservations. The rooms were reserved by government officials, political parties, non-governmental organizations, and election monitors.
